Located in a suburban area of New Orleans, Louisiana, Tulane University Boasts classic stone buildings adjacent to new exciting architecture, juxtaposing the classic with the innovative. The campus itself keeps most cars out, encouraging a walking-friendly environment that is preferred on most days in the mild Louisiana seasons. If you happen to be on campus for summer school, you are going to be a bit warm! The campus population is mostly white, but students come from all over the country to attend Tulane. New Orleans is also an incredibly diverse city, and students are encouraged to immerse themselves in the multitude of community opportunities available. With a famously “work hard, play hard” mentality, Tulane students are serious about their school work and their downtime. To be honest, New Orleans lends itself to socializing, and Tulane students tend to thrive when they want to be a part of that culture. Lastly, the dining halls on campus embrace Cajun cuisine and provide a massive assortment of dining options, many of which are Bayou-inspired.
