Lamar University is located in Beaumont Texas, roughly an hour outside of Downtown Houston. The home of the first big oil boom in Texas history, Lamar Maintains a museum that celebrates the memory of the first Texas oil town.
Lamar’s Campus tends to lean more toward commuting students, and it is situated outside of the downtown area in a more suburban location.
The campus itself is fairly spread out, and has a more concrete style rather than much greenery.
