Give Sport Back To The Kids

Matt Young explains how parents, coaches and administrators have contributed to the 70% attrition rate among the 40 million North American kids who register to play a sport each year. 

By transforming the joy of playing sport into the chore of working sport, kids have responded to the adult-induced pressures, demands and abuse by dropping out of sport in droves. Many kids have chosen sedentary lifestyles that are negatively affecting their physical, mental and social development.
